Resolved Question: 19 Hour Road Trip From SC To TX?

I am thinking of taking a road trip from columbia, sc to corpus christi, tx which is a 19 hour trip, what should i do to prepare my car. It's a 2005 honda civic with about 75k miles on it. Also, what time of day would be the best to travel and where should i rest? and is it safe to nap at a rest stop? i'd prefer not to have to stop at a hotel but i will if necessary. is it possible to drive this whole way without really stopping to sleep. maybe resting for 20 minutes every 5 hours?...
